Radio and podcasts

From July – September 2017, I undertook at internship at the award winning Naked Scientists, funded by the Genetics Society. During my time there, I produced a radio show broadcast over BBC Cambridgeshire, BBC 5Live and ABC Australia, and released as an international podcast, titled: Is the future bionic?

I also worked on smaller radio and/or podcast pieces, as producer and presenter, as part of my internship. All pieces involved identifying an interesting story, performing research calls, recording interviews and editing, usually, all within a 3 day window. I’ve also developed pieces for the Naked Scientists’ Question of the Week, where I worked with scientists to answer questions sent in by listeners.

Radio and podcasts pieces I’ve produced and presented:

Is the future bionic? (producer only)

Exposure to violence weakens short term memory (podcast only)

Uterus age may affect pregnancy success (podcast only)

Could green humans harvest energy from the sun? (producer only, also released on the main show)

Why Do Clothes Dry Below 100 Degrees Celsius? (also released on the main show)

How much alcohol does cooking remove? (also released on the main show)
